Terms of Use
Effective date: November 1, 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms are an agreement between you and Geoffrey Hicks, operating as GeoVation Designs, a sole proprietorship in Nova Scotia, Canada ("we", "us"). They apply to MyAlerts.Pro, Voicelert and their websites and apps (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a legal contract. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for it. We offer the Service in Canada and the United States and may offer it globally in future.
2. Your account
Give us accurate details, including your own phone number and email. Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything sent from your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account without your authorization.
3. What the Service does
The Service turns a message you type, speak or paste into the message box, or a signal from a sensor or button, into automated phone calls. Calls use a computer-generated voice and are translated automatically when the person's language is different from yours. It can also send a written copy of the message by WhatsApp, where available.
Automatic translation and voice generation can make mistakes. Check important messages. Calls in a group send go out one after another, so the last person may be called several minutes after the first.
4. Not an emergency service
The Service is not an emergency service and does not replace 911, a monitored alarm, a fire alarm or medical alert system. Calls can be delayed or fail because of phone networks, internet outages, power cuts, sensor batteries, wrong numbers, voicemail or other causes outside our control. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number first.
5. Credits, payment and refunds
The Service runs on credits. One credit covers one call of up to about 50 seconds to one person. Longer messages use 2 credits (up to about 110 seconds) or 3 credits (up to about 155 seconds) per person called. Sensor alerts use 1 credit per call.
Credits are bought in one-time packs. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
Purchased credits do not expire while your account is open. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred except as a gift we offer through the Service.
Free trial credits expire at the end of the trial.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes may be added.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Your messages and the people you call
You are responsible for the content of your messages and for the people you choose to call. Messages must not be threatening, malicious, harmful or unlawful in any way. By adding a contact, you confirm that:
the person has agreed to receive automated voice calls and messages from you, and
you are allowed to share their name, phone number and preferred language with us.
Everyone you call can reply "stop" or press 9 to stop future calls. We honor that request and you must not add them again without their fresh consent. You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Our rights
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk or appears to be misused. Where possible we will tell you first. We may update the app from time to time to add, improve or remove features. If the Service is discontinued, we will refund the value of unused purchased credits, as set out in our Refund Policy.
8. Intellectual property
We own the Service, its software and branding. You keep ownership of your messages. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service.
9. Limits of our responsibility
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by a call that was delayed, failed or not answered. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under consumer protection law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the new version.
11. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. Otherwise, disputes go to the courts of Nova Scotia, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.
